World Trade Center Building 7 on 9/11 : Collapse or Controlled Demolition?
World Trade Center Building 7 falling on the afternoon of September 11, 2001. Unlike the Twin Towers, this high-rise, steel-framed building was not hit by an aircraft, and yet it was the third building to be completely destroyed that day. According to N.I.S.T. (the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology) it collapsed due to "fires that followed the impact of debris from the collapse of WTC 1." But was this really "the first known instance of the total collapse of a tall building primarily due to fires"? Or was it what it certainly looks like: a controlled demolition?
